As the new Costco continues to gain more patrons, growth to Elk Grove has been continual for the Ridge Shopping Center. With over 382,000 sq.ft., the Ridge will provide businesses for retail space which will create jobs to the residents of Elk Grove. The City of Elk Grove plans to add many local businesses to The Ridge including: Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings,  Pieology, Michaels, Starbucks, 85 Degrees, Koja, Halal Guys, Cafe Rio, Great Clips, Stanton Optical, Farmers Boys, and Sleep First.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate, who is the leasing agent for the Ridge Shopping Center, shared with Elk Grove the proposed layout for the new businesses. Additionally, some of the businesses have already listed in the layout which is exciting for Elk Grove. The vision of this shopping center was to create a diverse area for local and regional uses. So far, it looks like it’s gaining traction.

A poll, taken in August of 2017, indicates that residents were asking for restaurants like Olive Garden and Noah’s Bagels which topped the list of businesses that are being added. Currently, popular business like Buffalo Wild Wings, 85 degrees bakery, and Pieology are growing throughout the nation and it is exciting to see that Elk Grove continues to attract businesses such as these.

The Ridge shopping center is currently being developed by Pappas Investments. Pappas Investments is also working on the Big Horn Village shopping area.
