Pre-Flight Training Session

Pre-Flight Training

When you first arrive you check-in and then go into Pre-Flight Training. Pre-Flight Training is very simple. You just watch a short video where you learn about indoor skydiving. They teach you the signals for “straight legs,” “bend legs,” “chin up,” and “relax.” The instructor is very knowledgeable and you’re welcome to ask questions. Afterwards you dress up in a suit, a helmet, goggles, and ear plugs and head inside the chamber for your flight.

It’s important to note that indoor skydiving isn’t recommended for pregnant women,  or people who have a heart condition.  You will be fine if you’re in good general health.

Your Flight

The actual experience of indoor flying is thrilling.  It’s actually a lot more physically demanding than I expected. The instructor will stay with you to make sure that you are safe and have a good experience. You have to try to lay somewhat flat with your hands next to your head and your knees slightly bent. You also have a ton of wind pressure coming at you. The instructor will grab you if you’re about to go flying in the wrong direction. So you do not need to worry about anything. I recommend just trying to relax and watching the instructor for signals.

I highly recommend trying the “High Fly” experience. For the “High Fly” option the instructor holds onto you and really helps you to go high and all over the chamber. You can see the “High Fly” in the video above. They also do tricks with you to enhance your experience. My family personally had a blast.
