July 4th Celebrations Around Elk Grove & Sacramento

The 4th of July is right around the corner. Here are some awesome events for your whole family to enjoy on July 4th.

Elk Grove

The City of Elk Grove is having their annual Salute the Red, White and Blue.  Come join the city in celebrating 22 years of spectacular fireworks!  The Salute to the Red, White and Blue is Elk Grove’s premier patriotic celebration marking the nation’s independence.  The day will feature vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, a pie-eating contest, bike and stroller parade.  And a fireworks show to top off the night.  Location: Elk Grove Regional Park, 9950 Elk Grove-Florin Rd, 4:00pm to 10:00pm.  Free admission, $10 parking.  For more info, go to: www.elkgrovecity.org.

 

Cal Expo – Sacramento

Cal Expo is pleased to invite the community to celebrate July 4th at Cal Expo at the Miller Lite Racetrack Grandstand.  Bring the family, and enjoy live music, food vendors, and of course see the best fireworks show in the city.  Chairs and blankets welcomed.  Doors open at 4:30pm and fireworks start at 9:30pm.  General admission: Free.  Reserved Seats: $10.  Parking: $15/Car.  1600 Exposition Blvd; to purchase reserved seat tickets, go to: www.calexpo.com.

 

 

Raley Field – Sacramento

Raley Field is home of the River Cats.  And Fourth on the Field has become one of the best spots to have some fun on the 4th of July!  There will be plenty of activities for the entire family.  Face painters, ballon artists and various competitions throughout the night.  There’s a potato sack race, hot dog eating contest, and a pie-eating contest.  Food trucks will line the track of the field, as well as the concourse.  Live music on both fields and more.  Gates open at 6:00pm.  Field level ticket: $12 adults, $7 kids 12 yrs and under.  Bowl Seating ticket: $10 adults, $5 kids 12 yrs and under.  To purchase tickets and other ticket pricing, go to: www.raleyfield.com.

 

Davis 

A wide array of family activities is planned for the Davis community on July 4th.  Throughout the day, there will be a variety of fun things for people to participate in and enjoy.  Following the day’s events, the community will gather for a free city-coordinated festival in Community Park on 14th and F Street to hear music, have picnics, and to view the fireworks finale.  The evening’s exciting musical lineup has been assembled by the Davis Live Music Collective.  Free: 4-10pm.  www.cityofdavis.org.

 

Rancho Cordova

Rancho Cordova Fourth of July is a two-day festival celebrating the local community and American heritage.  It is the signature event for the community.  Enjoy concerts, parade, carnival, food festival, kids zone, pony rides, petting zoo, trampoline show, beer garden and more.  $2 admission, $10 parking.  July 3rd – 4-11pm and July 4th – noon – 11pm.  Fireworks begin at 9:30pm at Hagan Park.  For activity times, go to: www.cordovacouncil.org.
