Elk Grove Traffic Alert: Construction Begins Tonight

Pavement reconstruction work starts at Bruceville Road and Big Horn Blvd intersection tonight.

Teichert Construction will start pavement rehabilitation and reconstruction on the intersection of Bruceville Road and Big Horn Blvd on behalf of the City of Elk Grove Public Works Department beginning on July 31.

Traffic Impacts: To reduce traffic impacts, most work will take place at night between the hours of 8:00 pm and 7:00 am, however some daytime work will be required. The roadway will remain open throughout the construction operations, but traffic controls will be in place during work hours.

Construction Activities: The first week will result in minimal traffic impacts as crews remove and replace sidewalk ramps. Nightly construction following the installation of the sidewalk ramps will consist of the asphalt removal and resurfacing of the roadway.

Completion: All work on the intersection is expected to be completed by October 13, 2017.
