Lodi School Bus Stops Just Inches From Oncoming Train

The Lodi Unified School District is investigating an incident caught on video Monday. The video posted to Facebook shows a school bus stopped only inches from a railroad crossing as an oncoming freight train passes.

Justin Chubb recorded the video in Lodi around 8 AM, at Sacramento Street and Lodi Avenue. Also, the video shows the railroad crossing gate extended over the top of the school bus.

Student Onboard

The Lodi Unified School District is aware of the video. Additionally, one student was on the bus during the incident and the child was unharmed.

The bus driver is a current Lodi Unified employee and not a substitute driver. Furthermore, an investigation of the incident is still ongoing.
