68-Year-Old Motorcyclist Tragically Killed In A Fatal Crash
A 68-year-old motorcyclist was tragically killed in a fatal crash, after being hit by a car near Calvine Road and Sheldon North Drive. The crash occurred on the afternoon of January 22, 2021, at 2:14 PM. The Elk Grove Police Department responded to a report of the deadly collision.
Officers determined that a 55-year-old man was driving a Toyota Camry. Consequently, he was going eastbound on Calvine Road. The drive was moving alongside the motorcyclist in another lane as they were both approaching North Sheldon Drive. Suddenly, the driver of the Camry made a right turn in front of the motorcyclist, and the motorcyclist collided into the Camry. Also, the collision caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from his bike. Firefighters and paramedics responded to the accident. Unfortunately, they found the motorcyclist suffering from major injuries. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Following the crash, the driver of the Camry remained on the scene and cooperated with the police. The investigation is still going on.

The identification of the motorcyclist will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as soon as the family has been notified.
