Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a two-alarm fire at Sheldon High School just before 1:30 AM Monday Dec 13. The fire’s severity required assistance from surrounding agencies. They managed to keep it from spreading to other buildings, and extinguished it within a couple of hours. There were no injuries to students, staff, or fire personnel. Extensive damages to the roof of the Industrial Arts Building were reported, which will require it to be relocated. Meanwhile, nearby classrooms are being aired out to remove the smell of smoke.
