Elk Grove Has A New Addition! Hit ‘em Hard Fitness

On Monday Elk Grove’s newest fitness center officially opened its doors for small group training classes. Hit’em Hard Fitness, owned and operated by Elk Grove residents JB Brown and Denzel Johnson, is located near Big Horn Boulevard and Elk Grove intersection at 8153 Elk Grove Boulevard suite #35. Last Saturday at its Grand Opening, Elk Grove Tribune joined a steady flow of morning clients to support former coach duo turned gym owners, JB and Denzel. Both JB & Denzel agree their passion is to help you become your best self!

The Atmosphere

At the Grand Opening, energy and genuine excitement filled the atmosphere at Hit’em Hard Fitness. The space is a good size, well lit, and open with SuperHero decor, in remembrance of a fellow coach and friend. Dark purple walls and deep red cover the walls, along with the Hit ’em Hard clock. Mirrors also cover the studio walls for those who appreciate the ability to check their form and get that extra push during their workout. Hit ’em Hard Fitness’ Grand Opening was a long time coming. Elk Grove’s fitness and health community know JB, Denzel and the crew, and have been anxiously waiting this opening. Of course, Elk Grove’s newest fitness center follows strict health and safety guidelines to keep you safe and fit. These include, but are definitely not limited to masks, temperatures checks, outside workouts, and social distancing.

Black Co-Owned Business

In a time when thousands of businesses are closing their doors indefinitely due to the Coronavirus, JB and Denzel are taking a leap opening a new business at this time. But what better time to follow your passion then now. This business is Black Co-owned. In 2020, Black owned businesses were especially hard hit by the pandemic. Some estimates put the number of closed Black-owned businesses as high as 40%, a fact that has led to a nationwide effort to support Black and minority owned businesses.

Class Times

Classes at Hit’em Hard Fitness kicked-off this Monday, January 4th. Class times for the early risers are Monday through Friday 5:00am, 6:00am, 7:00am, and 8:00am. The gym will be closed midday for regular sessions but will have operations open for one-on-one training clients. Evening class times resume 4:30pm, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm. Saturday classes are 7:00am, 8:00am, 9:00am. Hit’em Hard is closed on Sundays.
