Global Winter Wonderland Presents Imaginarium

Global Winter Wonderland Presents Imaginarium

I had the privilege of checking out Global Winter Wonderland presents Imaginarium’s  “Light Up the Night”  this Holiday season. While the festivities have been well under way since November 19, it continues through Sunday, January 16. Imaginarium is a family-friendly outdoor event . You and the family still have time to visit for more Holiday cheer, fun and lots of bright lights.

The Imaginarium is at Cal Expo located at 1600 Exposition Way, Sacramento, 95815. The schedule has recently been reduced. Hours of operation are Sundays and Thursdays from 5:00pm -10:00pm. Friday and Saturday hours are from 5:00 PM-11:00 PM. To comply with COVID-19 policies, capacity will be limited. Masks are encouraged but not required.

Exhilarating and Breathtaking Experience of Lights

Imaginarium – Light Up The Night – A Magical Journey Through Light (imaginarium360.com)

The Imaginarium experience did not disappoint. My family and I went Friday night and had a blast. The over three million LED lights created an exhilarating and breathtaking experience. The moment we parked; we were drawn to all the bright light displays. My grandkids especially loved walking through the illuminated tunnels and calling out all the colors. The little one who is two tried to explore behind the displays so this definitely kept us on our toes.

Keep your camera handy, you’ll want to capture the looks of wonder as you stroll from each light display with your loved ones. There is no shortage of backgrounds here. If you are someone who loves to take family pics or create content for your social media, you’ll love this experience.

Carnival Food and Ride Favorites

Imaginarium – Light Up The Night – A Magical Journey Through Light (imaginarium360.com)

After working up an appetite, we enjoyed some of our favorite carnival food at the court. The kids enjoyed hand dipped corn dogs, while the adults had loaded nachos. We warmed up again with hot chocolate, lots of marshmallows and sprinkled Holiday cookies. Then it was time for carnival rides. We skipped most of the the carnival game favorites this year but we made up for it on the rides. My little ones simply went for the rides. From Dumbo ride, cars, trains, slides, and the carousel my grand kids couldn’t get enough. The Ferris Wheel gave us the full view of the lights we walked through. It was quite a beautiful sight to see.

Clean, Fun, Family Outdoor Event

I had to go back one more time to admire the Field of Dreams with over 30,000 tiny roses before we left. I’m not sure how I missed it in the beginning because the roses were mesmerizing. We ended the night with the laser show that lit up the night sky. It was really a clean, fun, family event.

If you are looking for one more thing to do as you begin 2022, go visit the Imaginarium.
