I thought this was the coolest area for families as kids love this. My niece stayed in here for an hour playing while I sipped on coffee and read a book. Super cool!
A Seat at the Table Bookstore has events that are offered. They plan to have a lot more going on since it’s finally opened. Finally, remember to check out their events.

Don’t forget their coworking space. This is definitely something to take advantage of as “Working From Home” is the new normal for some people. Also, they offer single-use passes, monthly-lite, monthly, and annual memberships. As an added bonus, each membership comes with specific perks as you move up in membership.

Emily is a Long-time Alaskan turned Californian who is a parent of several children, a child of a librarian, and an awesome entrepreneur that is community-oriented. Emily started her journey with a dream of having a bookstore that was engaged in the community. This dream became reality as she started popup events for A Seat at the Table Bookstore in 2019. As time went on, the pieces came together as the online store was established in 2020 during the pandemic. Eventually, a perfect place was available so Emily took her business into a brick-and-mortar store.
A Seat at the Table Bookstore celebrates all the identities, backgrounds, and abilities that make Elk Grove wonderful. Furthermore, the selection features books with diverse authors, subjects, and characters, from race and culture to LGBTQ+ identities, body size, spirituality, neurodiversity, disability, and more.
