Missing Elk Grove Woman Found Deceased
In a sad and unfortunate turn of events, a missing Elk Grove woman was found deceased Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday morning, a community alert was put out to look for a 66 year old Asian woman by the name of Xiaoyu Li. She was described as weighing approximately 100 pounds, standing 5 feet tall, and wearing a dark-colored long sleeve shirt or jacket and dark-colored pants while carrying a white bag.
Li was last seen walking from her home located at the 10300 Hite Circle block near Willard Parkway and Franklin Boulevard Wednesday morning. Information was released that Li suffers from memory loss issues and could be at-risk.
By Wednesday afternoon, the Elk Grove Police Department announced that they had located the deceased Xiaoyu Li. Her body was located at Willard Parkway and Matina Drive which is approximately .3 miles from Mrs. Li’s residence on Hite Circle.

“It’s with a heavy heart that we provide this final update. Unfortunately, Mrs. Li was located this afternoon deceased. Based on the investigation, her death is not considered suspicious as there were no signs of foul play.”
The EGPD will not be releasing any further statements regarding this matter out of respect for the family.
