Community Meeting: Senior Center, Veterans Hall, Aquatics, Community Center

Get involved in the future of Elk Grove! A community meeting to provide updates and share progress on the design of the future Community/Senior Center/Veterans Hall at the Civic Center is scheduled on Monday, December 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in City Hall Council Chambers.Last January, the City Council directed staff to proceed with the completion of the refined Civic Center Master Plan, including Phase 1 of the project which includes an Aquatic Center and facilities for a Senior Center/Community Center/Veterans Hall. Phase 1 projects are estimated to cost approximately $51 million. Funding is proposed to come from a variety of sources including Poppy Ridge and Laguna Ridge Community Facility District (CFD) funds, Laguna Ridge Park Fee and a $3 million contribution from the Senior Center of Elk Grove. Future phases are dependent on funding availability.
