Exciting Changes Coming To Old Town
Old Town Plaza
It’s no secret that over the last few years Elk Grove’s Old Town has slowly come back to life. Within weeks, it may be the “talk of the town”.
City of Elk Grove officials just announced the near-complete construction of Old Town Plaza! This new space will be home to several events like festivals and concerts that feature food trucks. The new Old Town Plaza promises to be a great place for Elk Grove to relax between shopping and meals!
The City spared no expense on its new Old Town Plaza project, spending about $12 million from start to finish. After nearly a year and a half in quarantine, citizens have expressed their desire to go out and enjoy Elk Grove’s restaurants, stores, and activities. Set to open on July 21st, 2021 (next month), the plaza will celebrate with an opening ceremony!
Dust Bowl Brewing Company
Old Town Plaza, however, is not the only new and exciting thing coming to Old Town!
Dust Bowl Brewing Company recently announced plans for its third location right in the heart of Old Town. The Company found a home in one of Old Town’s oldest buildings (estimated to be 100 years old). The brewery will feature some 30 beers on tap, bar and lounge seating, and even a space for banquettes. Customers will not just be limited indoors. There will also be outdoor seating, a covered patio, and fire pits for those long summer or cold winter nights.
Drinks won’t be the only consumable option either. For those looking to eat, food will also be served. Wedo’s Kitchen will serve chicken wings, burgers, flatbreads, and even fancy tacos to pair with drinks. While the opening day is still not announced, Dust Bowl Brewing Company is sure to be a crowd-pleaser here in Elk Grove.
Old Town has a bright future! The new plaza and brewery are fantastic additions to the growing area, and we cannot wait to experience all the fun yet to come!
