$2 Tuesdays At Leatherby’s Family Creamery
There’s a comic pane that makes the Facebook rounds every once in a while with a woman resting her head against her arm in despair. It’s captioned, “Why do they need to eat dinner every single night?” The image is popular because parents everywhere can relate to not wanting to plan, shop for, prepare, and serve dinner after a long day of work or parenting. At the same time, going out to eat can be cost-prohibitive for many families.
Our family was excited to learn that Leatherby’s Family Creamery offers $2 kids’ meals every Tuesday from open to close. With the deal, the kids can choose from among six items and three sides. Mains include the Melted Cheddar Cheese, Child’s Burger, Chicken Strips, Deep Water Tuna, Egg Salad, and All-Beef Hot Dog. French Fries, Potato Salad, and Coleslaw are offered as sides. Our kids both loved their All-Beef Hot Dog meals and fries.

My husband and friend chose Cowboy Burgers with fries and I had the Southwest Salad. The adults enjoyed generously portioned entrees. The burgers’ large 1/3 lb. patties were topped with a delicious combination of BBQ, cheese, and onion. My yummy salad was more than enough for dinner thanks to the inclusion of chicken and beans.
Of course, with the money we saved on our kids’ meals, we had to enjoy a sundae. We chose a Deacon Dave’s Brownie Bliss with chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Between five of us, we almost finished it!

We all appreciated the excellent service from every staff member we encountered. They were prompt, friendly, and helpful. It’s clear that the staff members enjoy their work at Leatherby’s and care about their customers. In addition, our visitor from Arizona was thrilled with her local dining experience.
In conclusion, our family and our friend thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Leatherby’s. The food was tasty, the atmosphere was lively, and the customer service was spot on. Our family will definitely be visiting again soon.
Leatherby’s $2 Tuesday menu includes six entrees and three sides for kids to choose from.
