2 Killed, 2 Injured In Deadly Car Crash By Franklin High School In Elk Grove
Two people were killed and two others were severely injured in a deadly car crash by Franklin High School. The accident occurred at 4:45 AM this Monday morning. For reasons unknown, the driver veered off Whitelock Parkway and crashed into a tree. It is an ongoing investigation.
First responders were called to Whitelock Parkway and Franklin Road, where they found the car wreckage. Whitelock Parkway was closed during the early morning hours, between Franklin High School and Bellaterra Drive, as authorities investigated the accident.
What Happened?
According to the Elk Grove Police, a 2004 Toyota Camry collided with a tree. The collision caused the car to split down the middle upon impact. The crash caused two of the four passengers to be ejected from the vehicle. One of the passengers died from their injuries. The second was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive. The two remaining passengers had to be extricated by firefighters. One of them died on the scene. The other was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and for emergency surgery.
The Sacramento County Coroner has identified the deceased as Naiomi Brown and Amara Bush. Brianna Moreno was injured but is expected to survive.
