Elk Grove Police Department Makes Arrests, Detains Suspects
The Elk Grove Police Department made several key arrests recently. Last week alone, and just within 10 hours of watch over the city, officers were at it again, not once, but twice in the same morning.
The first incident occurred at Walgreens on Laguna and Bruceville Boulevards. According to Elk Grove Police Department, in the early morning hours, a graveyard officer was patrolling a Walgreens parking lot, when he received a call from Walgreens alleging that there were individuals inside the store stealing items. The officer heard the call and met the suspects at the door as they were leaving the store. All three suspects were detained. No word yet on any arrests or charges.
The second incident involved an alleged purse snatching on the 8400 block of Elk Grove Boulevard. This occurred at about 10 A.M. in the parking lot of Golden One. A good Samaritan called the police, upon allegedly witnessing a victim get her purse snatched. The witness says they followed the suspect’s vehicle and gave an accurate description of the suspect. They also told the police the direction that the suspects were heading. Police in the area were quickly able to locate the suspect’s vehicle. Elk Grove Police arrested all suspects involved. Again, no word yet on any charges.
This is another example of how great our community is, and how we can accomplish so much when we work together.
