The Wings Spot Wings Hit The Spot
There’s a new chicken wing spot in town, The Wing Spot, that is. The Wing Spot, located at 8469 Elk Grove Blvd #8, is in a prime location right off Hwy 99. Whether you want to grab dinner with your family, or a quick bite to go, this place definitely worth checking out. While the furnishings and décor might have been simple, the food was absolutely decadent. We opted to dine-in with our two kids, and we were not disappointed!
There is a limited menu of wings & fries (4-piece, 6-piece, or 8-piece), a kid’s meal with 2 chicken tenders and fries, a chicken sandwich meal, and a few varieties of fry sides (including garlic!). 10 sauces are available, ranging from the mildest (Orange Marmalade) to the hottest (911; this one is so hot, there’s a 911 Challenge!). There was also a selection of canned or bottled non-alcoholic beverages to choose from.

Food
We tried the Chicken Sandwich, 6-piece wings in Garlic Parmesan, and the kid’s meal tenders, all of which were served in paper to-go containers. We found this to be convenient, as you don’t have to ask for a box to take leftovers home. Certainly, this place is eco-friendly by saving water because there are no dishes to wash!
Everyone, the food did not disappoint! The chicken sandwich consisted of 2 breaded chicken breast filets stacked on a bed of coleslaw with pickles and chipotle mayo, served with a side of seasoned crispy fries. We were impressed, particularly with the chipotle mayo. It gave the sandwich a tiny bit of zing without being overwhelming. The Garlic Parmesan wings were hefty, juicy, and flavorful! They were sauced, but also smothered in real shredded Parmesan cheese and chopped chives. Everything was absolutely delicious, and I can’t wait to go back for more! Finally, the kid’s chicken tenders were served hot, juicy, and crispy. Our son ate so manyof them. I honestly think it’s the most “dinner” he’s willingly eaten this week!
We are very pleased with The Wing Spot. It’s a family-friendly place, open daily from 11 AM-7 PM. Starting January 10, they’ll expand those hours to 8 PM. They accept all major credit cards and you can order takeout from them off of DoorDash and UberEats. We talked briefly with owner Samir El Fassi about why he left his business at The Waffle Experience to do chicken wings instead, and here’s what he had to say:
“The Waffle Experience was corporate, and I was the first franchisee, but I wanted my own business, my own enterprise. I’m proud to bring The Wing Spot to the people of Elk Grove.”
-Samir El Fassi
Overall
The Wing Spot started out as a food truck, building his brand and reputation all over Sacramento and the surrounding areas, and hopes to have multiple locations in the future. If Samir keeps on cooking up wings like this, that won’t be a problem. Maybe someday soon, we’ll see him somewhere on Food Network! Visit The Wing Spot on Instagram and Facebook @TheWingSpot916.
