Bank Robbery At Wells Fargo Bank On Laguna
This Tuesday afternoon, March 16, a robbery occurred at Wells Fargo Bank on Laguna Boulevard. A suspect walked into the bank located at 5210 Laguna, at 1:15 PM. Then the suspected handed a teller a note demanding money. The employees complied with the robber’s demand as they were afraid for their safety. They handed over an undisclosed amount to him.
The suspect was soon identified as 35 year old Jacob Garcia from Sacramento. With the help of the Sacramento Police Department, the Elk Grove Police arrested Garcia at 2:00 AM on Wednesday morning, March 17.
Seeking Community Aid
A photo of Garcia was shared on social media. This helped police catch him. On Tuesday evening, a community member contacted the Elk Grove Police. The community member reported that the suspect was recognized and seen inside a business on Stockton Boulevard. When the police had arrived, the suspect was no longer at the location. But police had confirmed that he was the man in the bank robbery.
In a press release, the Elk Grove Police stated that Garcia had returned to the same business on Stockton Boulevard early Wednesday morning. It was at that location when Garcia was located and arrested.
Garcia has since been booked in the main county jail with a robbery charge.
