Elk Grove Police Is Seeking Help In Locating 36 Year Old Marvin Stephney, Suspect In The Deadly Shooting On Starfish Way
On March 18, a man was shot and killed on Starfish Way by Laguna Boulevard. The Elk Grove Police responded to reports of the shooting at about 10:25 PM on the 9200 block of Starfish Way. Consequently, officers found a man lying on the road, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, the man passed away, despite attempts by officers and fire personnel to save his life.
Later the Elk Grove Police stated that they learned of a verbal argument between the shooter and the victim. The argument had escalated when the shooter drew a firearm and fired at the victim. The victim’s identity has not yet been released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
Additionally, the Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating the person responsible for this homicide.
The police have described the suspect as 36 year old, Sacramento resident, Marvin Stepheny. His whereabouts are currently unknown. Stepheney is considered armed and dangerous, according to the Elk Grove Police. He is connected to a 4 door, silver 2019 Kia Optima with license plate #8NAS108.
