Fatal I-5 Crash Stops Traffic In Elk Grove

On Saturday, northbound lanes on Interstate 5 near Elk Grove Boulevard were shut down for nearly an hour due to a fatal traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.

It is reported that at approximately 2:28 PM, the motorcyclist was ejected from the bike which resulted in his death. No further details are known.

Authorities are continuing to investigate.
