Fatburger Opens In Elk Grove
Yes, you heard us right! The long-anticipated Fatburger is finally open! Located in the Raley’s parking lot, this burger joint is welcoming Elk Grovians to try “the last great hamburger stand.” So how are the burgers, wings, and fries, you might be wondering? We have you covered!
Atmosphere
I visited the restaurant on their opening day, so the atmosphere was a bit hectic. I was told that they were changing staff and would not be able to serve me for 30 minutes. While this was a bit of an inconvenience, I was given a certificate for free fries to make up for the lost time. When the wait was done, I was able to smoothly make my order. The staff was friendly and the store was clean. All the food is made to order, so prepare yourself for a bit of a wait. Once I got my food, it was time to eat!
The Original Fatburger
Cooked to order, this fresh burger was topped with mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, relish, and mustard. Combined in one bite, they created a harmonious pairing. I would encourage you to add cheese to this, because that would have been the icing on top. This bite is flavorful and extremely juicy.
Cajun Chicken Sandwich
Our next sandwich was the chicken sandwich. This was properly spiced and cooked well. The bun was toasted perfectly as well. I would have liked a sauce to go with it, because it was a bit dry, but overall I was satisfied with this meal.
Western Bacon BBQ Burger
This burger was a hit among my party! The onion rings are house-made and perfectly crunchy. The barbecue sauce was spread evenly and the toppings were fresh. This burger was absolutely delicious.

Sweet Potato Fries
These crispy and seasoned fries are a must for your Fatburger visit! The fries are large and each bite is filled with sweet potato filling. While they did need a bit of salt, these were a great choice.
Fat Fries
Fatburger has two options when you order their fries. You can order skinny fries or fat fries. I picked the fat fries and they were great. Like the sweet potato fries, they were thick and filled with soft potato filling. While they also needed salt, this was an easy fix.
Bourbon BBQ Wings
To finish our meal, we tried the boneless chicken wings. These bites were big and juicy, generously coated with sauce. This is easily shareable and perfect for watching any sports game.
Overall
Fatburger is a great edition to Elk Grove and is sure to bring all the burger enthusiasts. The food is fresh and the service is friendly. Head on over and tell them EGT sent you!
