Prenatal & Postnatal Massage

Massage  during pregnancy not only makes an expectant mother feel pampered, but offers undeniable physical benefits. Some of these benefits include relief of fatigue, enhance sleep, calm an active baby and many other benefits to both mother and baby.

Cranio Sacro Therapy

The Upledger method is used; a gentle method of detection and correction. It encourages your own natural healing mechanisms to dissipate the negative effects of stress on your central nervous system. You also benefit from better overall health and resistance to disease.

Swedish Massage

The most common form of massage, Swedish relaxes the muscles, eases muscular aches and pains and improves circulation.

Isolated Massage

This massage was designed to concentrate on a specific area of trouble. This massage can consist of only the lower or upper extremities, i.e., the back, shoulders and arms; or the legs, treating all muscles connecting to the injury or problematic area. This massage is also good for those who have had a form of reconstructive surgery or similar circumstances.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a unique method of using thumb and fingers to stimulate the nerve endings in each hand and foot. These nerve endings correspond to all parts of the body, including organs and glands. Reflexology is used to prevent, rather than cure and is used to relieve a wide variety of ailments.

Lymphatic Massage

The Fuller Technique is used; a very light fast massage which aides in the drainage of the Lymphatic System. This is a very relaxing and therapeutic massage.

Sport Massage

Sports Massage is a deep tissue massage working the layers of muscles helping athletes obtain maximum performance and physical conditioning, increasing power, endurance and mobility both before and after an event or exercise.

Aromatherapy

The use of essential oils during the Swedish and Isolated massages. Natural scents mixed with the massage cream, lotion or oil. This enhances the therapeutic release of stresses and the ultimate in relaxation for your mind and body.

Samato Emotional Release

Developed by Dr. John Upledger this technique is a therapeutic process that helps rid the mind and body of residual effects of past trauma and associated negative responses.

Chair Massage

On-site Chair

Your company can contract The Health Alley therapists to come provide massage services for you employees. Your company can use on-site massage for incentives, recognition, staff appreciation, to improve moral or maintain moral of the employees.  There  are different types of contracts and fees to fit your company’s needs. Contact our office today and see how we can serve you.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release techniques work the fibrous connective tissue between the layers of muscles and to reach the muscles that are located under other muscles.  This therapy can be used in conjunction with other therapy or by itself.  Techniques to alleviate chronic soft tissue pain.  This therapy is most beneficial to patients with Fibro Myalga and other soft tissue disorders.

Infant Massage Workshop

This wonderful and unique class teaches parents to massage their children from birth.  Infant massage is a invaluable tool for both parents and their babies.  Infant massage can reduce colic, stress and anxiety your baby may be experiencing; it may also increase circulation, lymphatic flow (which boosts the immune system) and promotes an overall wellbeing and good health from the start.

The secondary benefit is that both mother and father can implement a unique bond with their children that will last a lifetime.  You will learn the basic tools of massage which in return teach your baby the importance of touch.  Massaging your baby and children  will become a heritage that will be passed on from generation to generation.

Both Sabrina and Jeff will customize a massage or treatment  for you, depending on your needs and health issues.

Acupuncturist Dr. Allen Duong

Dr. Allen Duong is a California Board Certified and Licensed  Acupuncturist in the city of Elk Grove, CA. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at the San Francisco State University and completed 4 years of Medical school in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MSTCM) at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (ACCHS) in Oakland, CA. Acupuncture

Acupuncture heals by balancing energy within the body. Once the needles are in most of our patients feel a sense of deep relaxation, & even sleepiness.

Acupuncture can effectively treat conditions such as chronic or acute pain, sports and work related injuries, tendinitis, carpal tunnel, arthritis, headaches, stress, anxiety, high blood pressure, insomnia, PMS, digestive problems, thyroid disorders, and more (World Health Organization).

Acu-Facial

Gentle acupuncture needling for your face, using time-tested protocols. Our patients find that they have firmer, smoother skin tones after treatment.

Helps with production of new collagen (the foundation of your skin). Helps to soften deeper wrinkles and refine fine facial lines. Reduction of bags and facial sagging (chin, eyelids, etc).

Acupuncturist Dr. Allen Duong cupping a patient

Cupping

Cupping is a therapy designed to stimulate the flow of blood and Qi within the superficial muscle layers. It is used for many ailments including sore muscles, tension, neck pain, and common colds.

Small cups are placed over specific areas on your body. A vacuum is created under the cup using heat and placed over affected areas of the body. This treatment may leave redness circle marks on the skin, that will naturally dissipate in 3 – 7 days.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha is another technique used to release muscle tension, tightness, and constriction. It can also help the body release trapped heat in feverish conditions.

A specialized tool is used to gently scrape or rub the skin over a problem area. Gua Sha feels a bit like deep massage. This treatment may leave some slight redness on the skin, that will quickly dissipate in 3 – 7 days.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a treatment that uses an herb called Mugwort or ‎Artemisia vulgaris.

Mugwort may be burned on the handle of the needle, above the skin, on salt or on a slice of ginger. This is used as a warming therapy to “warm” acupuncture points or areas in order to quicken the healing process.

Herbal Consult

Chinese Herbal medicine draws from hundreds of herbs for specific conditions.

Herbs and Minerals are prescribed in the form of tea or pills. Chinese herbs are a gentle, effective, affordable, and time-proven therapy for the treatment of both chronic and acute illness.
