Middle Schooler Attacked By Adults and Child
On Wednesday, February 9th, three middle school students were walking home from school. When the three students reached Laguna Boulevard and Bruceville Road (near Harriet Eddy Middle School), a group of one juvenile and two adults began to assault one of the youths. The other two students tried to intervene. One was violently struck by the adult female with a stick. After they were satisfied, the group drove off in their car. The students were left alone on the sidewalk. Luckily, the incident was recorded and uploaded to social media. Subsequently, the video has now circulated all over Elk Grove.
Meanwhile, this vicious attack is now an ongoing investigation. The Elk Grove Police Department immediately scanned the area once the incident was reported. They have been actively interviewing witnesses, reviewing the video, and working with Elk Grove Unified School District. Most importantly, as of Thursday evening, they have been able to identify four suspects.

Late Wednesday evening, 32 year old Demetria Fowler and her 13 year old daughter was arrested in their Elk Grove home. The juvenile was sent to Juvenile Hall and the mother was booked at the main jail. The 13 year old girl was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon (PC 245(a)(4)), Conspiracy (PC 182(a)(1)), and Battery (PC 242). The mother was booked on charges of Corporal Punishment of a Child (PC 273 (D)), Conspiracy (PC 182 (a)(1)), Battery (PC 242), and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Child (PC 272). Important to note, the police are still looking for two outstanding suspects who have been identified. In addition, they also seek to identify the fifth unknown suspect.
