Missing Local Woman Found Dead

On Sunday, the body of 89 year old Carol Matsui was found in a drainage canal along Iona Way in Sacramento. This discovery brings a sad ending to fervent search efforts.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department had been searching for her since Wednesday. Carol had been missing from her home in Vintage Park. It is unknown whether her medical condition contributed to her death.
