Sweet Dozen Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary & Scores With New Dochis Mochi Donuts!
10 Year Anniversary of Sweet Dozen
Sweet Dozen Bakery just celebrated their 10 year anniversary Saturday August 4 with a party thrown for their loyal patrons. For 10 years, the popular bakery in Sacramento has offered baked goodies, donuts, and coffee. They also operate Sweet Dozen mobile cart available for catering. Sweet Dozen is often seen at the Midtown Farmer’s Market and last year opened Sweet Dozen Cones in Folsom.
At the 10 year anniversary party, loyal patrons who came out to celebrate enjoyed donuts, baked goods, and Zoe Coffee & Tacos and Local Kine Shave Ice. Personally, I really enjoyed the tacos from Zoe and the shaved ice I got. It was the perfect lunch on a summer day. As one of the first fifty customers to purchase a dozen dochi donuts, I got a free shave ice from Local Kine. Kids also got to make their very own donut slime.
About Sweet Dozen
Sweet Dozen is known for their doissants, their version of the cronut, and their donuts. My personal favorite includes something called a “melt.” A melt is a freshly made donut with ice cream or Gunther’s fruit freeze inside. Try the maple bacon melt with vanilla ice cream! Sweet Dozen recently started making dochis or mochi donuts.
Dochis are available on Saturdays at Sweet Dozen bakery and at the Midtown Farmer’s market. This family run bakery has gained a cult following in Sacramento, with posts appearing on social media when their dochis are available. Foodies in Sacramento have clamored for a taste of their dochis in recent weeks. For more info check out Instagram @dochispot.
Last year they opened Sweet Dozen Cones in Folsom. Their freshly made churro like cones are unique and served with soft serve ice cream inside and your choice of toppings. At the Midtown Farmer’s Market, their Sweet Dozen mobile cart often runs out of donuts. To see what donuts are being offered you can check out their Sweet Dozen’s Facebook or Instagram @sweetdozen916.
The owners of Sweet Dozen are the Khamphay family of Sacramento. Jeremy Khamphay and Nuny Khamphay Cabanting are the son and daughter of John and Carol Khamphay. John and Carol are the bakers. Jeremy heads up the Sweet Dozen Bakery. Nuny helps with the bakery and also runs Sweet Dozen mobile cart with her husband Jeff.
Congratulations on your 10 year anniversary Sweet Dozen!
