Stay-At-Home Orders Lifted In California, Good News For Businesses
Recently, California lifted its stay-at-home orders. This will allow restaurants to conduct outdoor dining. Additionally, salons and gyms will be able to reopen with modifications. While this is good news for many businesses in California, the danger of a potential closure still looms over the state.
Some Hope In This Pandemic
Undoubtedly many Californians have been hit hard by the pandemic, whether it be emotionally or financially. The lifting of the stay-at-home order offers some relief for struggling businesses and citizens suffering from cabin fever. Surprisingly, areas in Southern California will also benefit from the lifted order. (The area has been the hardest hit by the pandemic, with many hospitals struggling to find available ICU beds). So long as citizens keep social distancing and wear face masks, California could avoid another lockdown. It is no time for the state to celebrate, however.
Despite California having the worst vaccination efforts in the country, it has also inoculated the most people. Compared to Florida or New York, California can definitely improve its vaccination procedure. Currently, the California administration is ramping up efforts to ensure everyone in the first phrase is receiving their vaccinations. Of course, if the available ICU beds do drop below 15%, then the affected region will enter another lockdown. The more people that receive the vaccine, the faster the state will open up.
So California, stay safe. Wear your masks when going out, sanitize your hands. And if you can do so, stay at home whenever possible.
