Elk Grove High School Coach Arrested For Touching Female Minor
An Elk Grove High School head cross country coach was arrested in February for inappropriately touching a female minor.
Thomas Rossow, 67, was arrested in February 2020 in connection with a complaint filed by the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, alleging that Rossow has inappropriately touched a female minor. It is not clear if the minor he engaged in inappropriate contact with was a student of the school or not.
Rossow was an employee of the school for over 30 years, and most recently, served in the capacity of the head cross country coach. He was terminated from the Elk Grove Unified School District, effective October 16, 2019. It is not clear if his termination is in connection with his recent arrest.
According to Elk Grove Unified School District spokeswoman, Xanthi Pinkerton, the district is working closely with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department on this investigation. The Sheriff’s Department has asked that anyone with information about Rossow’s conduct over the course of his employment reach out to the assigned detectives at (916) 874-5070 or by calling the Sheriff’s non-emergency number at (916) 874-5115.
Confidential information can be submitted through the Sacramento County Sheriff Department’s website at www.sacsheriff.com or by calling (916) 874-8477.
Per Pinkteron, this is the only information they have at this time.
