Elk Grove Resident In Jail For Attempted Murder
Around 5 PM Saturday February 1, a domestic violence incident occurred. Elk Grove Resident Jesse Sotelo, 44, is now behind bars. His victim and him were in a verbal disagreement. Their argument escalated, and then it turned physical. Sotelo strangled the victim 3 different times during the altercation. Furthermore, he allegedly threatened to kill the victim on various occasions. The victim tried to escape multiple times but was unable to. Additionally, the victim had several injuries on the body. Sotelo is currently being held at Sacramento County Jail.
His victim was granted an emergency order of protection against him.
Sotelo is facing 5 felony charges, including attempted murder. His arraignment is Tuesday, February 4.
