Elk Grove Restaurant Week At Huckleberry’s

Elk Grove Restaurant Week At Huckleberry’s

It’s Elk Grove Restaurant Week and what is a better way to start a morning? BRUNCH, of course! Huckleberry’s is generally busy in the morning as the locals try to get their bunch on. For Elk Grove Restaurant Week, Huckleberry’s offers a BOGO on any entree. That said, I definitely had a grand feast.

The Atmosphere

Located near the I5 offramp, Huckleberry’s sits on a lot along with several other venues at the Harbour Cove Shopping Center. Expect Huckleberry’s to be busy and full of great staff. The staff is super friendly and helpful with all your requests. As busy as it gets, the place isn’t as noisy as it seems; especially with the booths. With large groups, Huckleberry’s accommodates a good amount of people. Nonetheless, a good size venue with a great atmosphere.

The Food

Brunch can be breakfast or lunch. You really cannot go wrong with either. With everything available for order, we tried the Beignets, the Bubba Burger, and the Crab Cake Benedict.

Beignets

Rich with a variety of flavors, these southern fritters are delicious. The vanilla cream filling with huckleberry, strawberry, and peach toppings is a great start. One beignet was good enough for one person.

Bubba Burger

Laced with an egg over easy, this burger is awesome. The bacon adds to the layers of flavors as the juices of the beef patty drenches the buns. If you love burgers, definitely try this one.

Crab Cake Benedict

The crab cakes are super crispy as the egg benedicts with hollandaise sauces make this entree shine. This was super good and love each bite of it.

The Drinks

What’s brunch without drinks? During this visit, we had the opportunity to try two great drinks: A mimosa and a bloody mary.

Signature Mimosa

A well-balanced huckleberry mimosa was great along with the food. If you love mimosas, this one is a must-try.

Bayou Bloody Mary

Starting off with a bloody mary was a good call. This bloody mary was topped with bacon to add to the layers of flavors in this bloody mary.

Overall

Huckleberry’s is a great addition to the franchises around Elk Grove. The locals love it as it is one of the few places that does serve brunch and they do brunch right. The restaurant is accommodating and the staff is superb. Expect great brunch items with great service. You really can’t go wrong here.
