Four Way Collision – Driver Dies After Taser

Officers are investigating a four vehicle collision involving a wrong way driver at Elk Grove Blvd / Wymark Dr.

Driver of the wrong way vehicle fled on foot and was contacted by EGPD officers. A struggle with the driver ensued.

During struggle officers deployed taser. Driver continued to resist the officers while on the ground and became unresponsive.

Officers performed CPR to the driver who was transported to a local area hospital and was later pronounced deceased. Expect delays in area.
