N’Joy Cafe Brings Delicious Food To Town
The development of The Ridge shopping center has been quite exciting for Elk Grove residents with Costco, Olive Garden, and Crumbl Cookie to name a few. The newest edition to this food plaza is N’Joy Chinese Cafe, a to-go and sit-down boba shop/restaurant. With a variety of dishes, teas, and flavors, we were delighted by the opening of this new Elk Grove restaurant.
Atmosphere
With the rise of the Omicron variant, I decided to order online pickup. The process was smooth and had no glitches. When I arrived, I was greeted by a variety of staff members and told that my order would only be a few minutes. Even though I only waited ten minutes, the staff checked in on me multiple times to make sure I was doing alright. They were very organized and had my food all packed and ready to go.
Chicken Fried Rice
Our first dish was chicken fried rice. The rice was flavorful and lightly fried. The veggies were well cooked and bite-sized. The chicken was also very small and mixed perfectly with the rice. This is a great side to any entree.
Orange Chicken with Rice
The next dish was the orange chicken. Although it says orange in the name, the sauce was not very citrusy. The sweet sauce mixed well with the crispy chicken. The dish came with an ample amount of rice, perfect for sharing.

Chow Mein With Bean Sprout & Soy Sauce
This chow mien was not like many other places. The noodles were very thin and lightly crispy. They came with a massive portion and a variety of fresh vegetables. This was another great side for the main meat entree. The soy sauce flavor was light but delicious.
Curry Chicken Over Rice
This entree was actually ordered by accident, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of flavor and variety of vegetables. The bell peppers, potatoes, and onions were fresh, and cooked until soft. The chicken was juicy and well coated in curry sauce.
Hot & Sour Soup
The soup was piping hot, even after it was to-go. The veggies were packed in there and the broth was hot. We will be going back for this soup.
Cheese Wontons
The final thing we ordered was the cream cheese wontons. These were stuffed with filling and came inside a very flaky wonton. Although there was no sauce to dip in, the wontons worked well with the overall meal and proved to be very filling.
Overall
We were very impressed with N’Joy Cafe. With friendly staff, short wait time, and delicious food, it’s sure to be a hit in Elk Grove. So head on over to The Ridge and enjoy N’Joy Cafe for yourself!
