Regal Delta Shores 14 & IMAX Holds Grand Opening

The new Regal 14 & IMAX movie theater at Delta Shores is celebrating its Grand Opening through March 7 with $3 movies, popcorn, and soft drinks. Over 4,000 tickets had already been sold as of 5:00 p.m. on the first day. Proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sacramento, Sacramento Food Bank & Family Service, and Ronald McDonald House. Tickets can be purchased at the box office.

The $3 movies include past hits with ratings from G through R. For example, Cars 3, Wonder Woman 3D, and IMAX: Dunkirk are showing daily. In addition, a few movies are only showing for one day. Smurfs: The Lost Village is playing on March 6 only, for instance, and La La Land is playing on March 7 only.

My eight-year-old and I went to the 6:00 showing of  The LEGO Batman Movie on March 5. We arrived 30 minutes before the show and nabbed two of the remaining five seats in the theater. In fact, some movies, like Wonder, were sold out for the rest of the day. We found the recliners very comfortable and enjoyed the tray tables attached to our seats. When a row of seats did not recline, staff quickly resolved the issue before the movie started. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our movie experience.

Regal Delta Shores 14 & IMAX has many amenities to offer. Not only are the seats comfortable and luxurious, but each seat can recline to variety of positions. There is digital projection in every auditorium. Customers can use the Regal Express kiosks for fully automated ticket purchasing. The Regal App allows tickets to be sent to any smart phone. Most noteworthy, the Regal Crown Club loyalty program rewards those who go to the movies often.

On the way out, I noticed a Wellness Room that would be useful for nursing mothers and checked out the concessions. Staffers remained positive despite the crowds, which sometimes meant a 20-minute wait for customers. The bar, opening March 9, will offer beer, wine, and cocktails. Food options include standard movie fare as well as self-serve frozen yogurt.

I highly recommend you check out Regal Delta Shores 14 & IMAX. If you can’t make the Grand Opening, you can still snag a great deal. From March 8 to 15, Regal Crown Club members can get a free small popcorn and small soft drink.
