4 People Arrested For Massive Weed Grow Bust

Yesterday, Elk Grove Police Department (EGPD) arrested four suspects on an active marijuana cultivation operation. EGPD Street Crimes Unit recovered over 800 marijuana plants in two houses. Additionally, the houses are located on the 9800 block of W. Taron Dr. and the 5600 block of Lilyview Way.

The four suspects, Mei Cao (AFA, 40), Yong Kui Lin (AMA, 41),  Gui Long Cao (AMA, 66), and Hang Lin (AMA, 40), who are all Elk Grove residents, are currently in custody at the Sacramento County main jail. The charges for the suspects are Code HSC 11366.5 (Felony), 11359 (Misdemeanor), and 11358 (Misdemeanor).

Elk Grove Police Department Are Proactive

A statement from EGPD, “EGPD are proactive in taking down grow houses. EGPD will continue to be proactive to ensure that the community is safe as these grow homes are a hazard for the citizens of Elk Grove.”
